Print Room Representative

Produce high quality reproduction of source documents utilizing the various types of equipment. Must perform distribution process, including sorting and deliveries of documents, mailing, filing, and retrieving documents, daily/monthly reports and counter operations  Occasional assignment to perform all machinery/workstations as instructed.



  • Produce copies of material in accordance with established instructions.
  • Maintain serviceability of assigned equipment through performance of recommended /direct servicing and/or cleaning.
  • Monitor and order supplies as needed for assigned equipment and/or workstations.
  • In as much as possible ensure the work area is clutter free and orderly so as to provide a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate daily work effort with other operators relative to efficient workflow and established goals.
  • Interfaces with customers.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.



  • High school graduate.
  • Basic knowledge in the reprographics field, with skills in plain copy production, photocopy and printing. 
  • Displays knowledge and preferable basic skill level on any of the below listed equipment(s) or family of equipment - computer, OCE TDS800 plain paper copies (XEROX or similar process), plotters (XEROX, OCE or similar process), photocopy machines (XEROX or similar), and 3M printer.
  • Can operate a vehicle.
  • Basic mechanical skills required.  Analytical abilities a plus relative to increased production possibilities.
  • Must be proficient in English language due to equipment instruction manuals, warning plates and written information.



Reports to Supervisor, Office Services. Takes work assignments from the Office Service Supervisor, the Repro and Micrographics Chief and the IT Data Center Manager. Requires daily interaction with fellow workers and customer. Occasional contact with service technicians and vendor representatives will occur. Occasional supervision and/or training of personnel on assigned equipment may be required in support of increased efficiency or proficiency.  Daily work assignments may require completion with minimal supervision, requiring the operator to display excellent work ethics and individual responsibility.



  • Requires extended periods of standing and walking (6-7 hrs/day).
  • Must be able to easily handle weights up to 50 pounds. Able to climb up & down stairs with heavy loads.
  • Physical dexterity must allow for bending and reaching.
  • Must be able to function effectively in demanding and/or stressful situations.
  • This position requires the frequent handling of various liquid and/or solid chemical products which could cause harm to the user if not handled properly.  The required Material Safety data sheets (MSDS) are provided to the position holder along with the necessary protective clothing (i.e. latex gloves, and safety glasses).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, or feel objects, or controls, and to talk and hear. Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.



Directly accountable for responsibilities outlined in Principal Responsibilities and for providing the highest possible quality reproduction of material provided.  Product may be utilized within or outside of the yard in support of planning, production, procurement or proposals.
