SUMMARY

 

       Under supervision, coordinates the logistics of leadership and organizational development needs. Assist with the implementation of a wide range of L&OD initiatives, including skills training, employee surveys, change management, leadership development, career development and talent development. Develop, implement and monitor effectiveness of programs to align work force and key business initiatives through organizational effectiveness.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for all course content development.
  • Tracks and reports on training activities and course evaluations to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Leads small group training sessions as needed, including New Employee Orientation.
  • Manage logistics for leadership development programs and activities including venues, equipment, and administrative/prep work.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers.
  • Create and execute project plans and maintain project calendars.
  • Design visually compelling training materials such as job aids, training guides, user guides and infographics.
  • Provide editing/quality control for training material deliverables and communications.
  • Collect data and qualitative feedback on impact of programs and interventions, including developing reports and making recommendations based on the feedback.
  • Manage and monitor Learning Management System, providing training and support to all admin users.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, I/O Psychology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of three (3) years Project Management and two (2) years of ILT facilitation experience.
  • Experience working with external vendors preferred.

  • Ability to effectively work independently and within a strong team dynamic.
  • Ability to organize work flow to manage multiple projects and accomplish tasks with follow-through to completion.
  • Requires effective presentation and documentation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills involving both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Specific abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and ability to focus.  Regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and maintain the ability to commute to other buildings in and outside the shipyard for meetings, presentations, and training.  Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate levels of noise.
