SUMMARY

 

      The IT Business Analyst (BA) supports the IT team with a variety of organizational and administrative duties. The BA serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external parties on a wide variety of activities, and must be creative, highly organized, detail oriented, analytical, and must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

 

  • Completes a broad variety of administrative and coordination tasks for the IT team.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the IT leadership team. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously and proactively, and follows-through on assignments to successful completion often with deadline pressures.
  • Coordinates and assumes a leadership role in the planning and execution of the IT Continuous Improvement program.
  • Ensures that internal processes such as Outage Response, Lessons Learned, and IT Housekeeping are consistently followed and that proper documentation is created.
  • Coordinates, edits, and sends all official communications to the enterprise. Ensures that all messages are easy to understand, carry accurate information, and reaches out the correct users group.
  • Tracks, analyses, and reports on various performance metrics as directed by IT leadership.
  • Offers guidance and contributes to professional morale within IT.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business administration, or human sciences is required.
  • A minimum of 5 year of relevant experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities.
  • Ability to prepare executive level presentations,
  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be effective independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain tact and diplomacy in interacting with others.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate a high level of customer service and response.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to quickly learn and utilize other company applicationsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to quickly learn and utilize other company applications.
  • Proficiency with business software such as JIRA, Confluence, Content Server, Tableau, is preferred.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, or controls, and to talk and hear.  Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
