SUMMARY

The Human Resources Data Analyst provides organizational support through advanced analytics, reporting, and data‑driven insights to answer workforce‑related questions and support strategic decisions. Uses modern analytical tools, including AI‑assisted platforms, to identify trends, forecast workforce needs, and deliver actionable recommendations. Converts complex HR data into clear, meaningful insights for HR and business leaders. This role must demonstrate high integrity, solid work ethic, and a commitment to upholding accuracy, data quality, and confidentiality.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Analyzes HR and business data using advanced analytical techniques and AI‑assisted tools to identify trends, variances, and relationships; evaluates data to answer workforce‑related questions; and distills complex findings into clear, actionable insights for decision‑makers.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and monitors workforce metrics (e.g., headcount, attrition, hiring, demographics) to enable proactive talent planning and scenario analysis.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains data visualizations and HR dashboards that communicate workforce performance and trends to HR and business stakeholders.
  • Supports People Data & HRIS team to define, capture, and continuously refine key performance indicators for HR and functional leaders; recommends modern analytics methodologies to strengthen workforce insights.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis and reporting, leveraging AI‑enabled techniques where appropriate, to support critical business decisions and convert large or complex HR data sets into practical recommendations.
  • Ensures data integrity through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and audit routines; implements standardized quality‑assurance (QA) checks, peer reviews, and version control to minimize errors and improve reliability.
  • Designs user-friendly data management tools, automated reporting workflows, and clear guides/documentation that improve data governance, reproducibility, and reporting efficiency.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to identify reporting requirements, validate data accuracy, and develop analytics that support shared organizational goals through compelling visualizations and concise narratives.
  • Applies understanding of company plans, practices, and procedures in compliance with labor laws, union contracts, compensation programs, and employee benefits, ensuring analytics and reporting adhere to applicable policies and confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to accuracy and data quality by following documented procedures, performing thorough self‑checks prior to publication, and promptly correcting identified issues. Proactively seeks peer review for complex analyses and maintains transparent change logs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Data Analytics, International Business, Human Resources) with one or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with business intelligence, SQL, data visualization and AI‑enabled analytics tools; familiarity with predictive analytics and automation preferred.
  • Knowledge of HCM platforms (Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP Success Factors, UKG) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency; experience with modern data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and scripting for data transformation a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple initiatives with a structured approach.
  • Detailed-orientated with strong organizational and multitasking skills; proven ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive and protected data/information; ; adheres to data governance, access controls, and retention policies.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The essential functions of this role are performed in an office setting. The role requires prolonged periods of working in a stationary position, operating a computer, computer programs, and standard office equipment necessary to perform the essential duties. The role requires perceiving information and communicating effectively with others in person, online, and on the phone.

 

 

PAY SCALE

$66,400 - $85,900

 

This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
