SUMMARY

We are seeking an IT Project Manager with the ability to support technical initiatives across our systems and infrastructure environment. This role requires strong project management expertise, the ability to contribute to technical solutions, and experience working closely with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of complex IT projects.  The IT Project Manager works under general direction from the IT Department Management and reports to the Manger of IT PMO & Business Controls. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Prepares and manages a variety of project execution plans for assigned projects.  
  • Develops and sets deadlines and coordinates work teams with general direction of IT Department Management.
  • Coordinates routine project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.
  • Provides frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
  • Represents the organization in providing solutions to specific project issues.  
  • Identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed.
  • Oversees all aspects of assigned projects. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment.  
  • Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements and deliverables.
  • Provides status reports to reflect progress against the plan, coordinates project schedules, manages project meetings, and identifies and resolves technical problems.
  • Contributes to the technical solutions of the assigned projects.
  • Contributes to the refinement of IT project management standards.
  • Conducts user training.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or Engineering is required.
  • >5 years of IT Project Management experience is required.
  • Expertise in project management methods is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, IT Management or equivalent is preferred.
  • PMP certified is preferred.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability.
  • Experience with using tools such a Jira, Confluence and Tableau preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative development environment is required.
  • Positive attitude toward customer service is required.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and take a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with various groups in developing solutions to problems.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, or controls, and to talk and hear.  Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

 

PAY SCALE

$78,300 - $163,800

 

This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
